Zoloft is a medication that’s manufactured by the pharmaceutical company Pfizer. It’s prescribed to individuals to treat a number of different conditions, including post-traumatic stress disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, pre-menstrual dysphoric disorder as well as other behavioral issues like stress, anxiety and depression. As with most prescription medications, there are minor side effects that patients were cautioned about when taking the drug. However, research done in the last several years has revealed that not all of those potential side effects related to Zoloft were being communicated to doctors and patients. Most notably these studies indicated that there are serious risks when the drug is used during the early stages of a pregnancy and that it can lead to a range of Zoloft birth defects in the newborn child.

Shortly after the release of these implants, patients began to experience unexpected hip replacement problems. As reports of these problems continued to mount, research was done into their cause and it was discovered that there was an abnormally high amount of metal debris being given off by the implants.
